Lifeguard Training - Unity School

The purpose of the American Red Cross
Lifeguarding program is to provide lifeguard candidates and
lifeguards with the skill and knowledge necessary to keep the
patrons of aquatic facilities safe in and around the water.

WSI - Water Safety Instructor
The purpose of the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor course
is to train instructor candidates to teach courses in the American
Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program by developing their
understanding of how to use the course materials, how to conduct
training sessions and how to evaluate particpants' progress.
Candidates may include lifeguards, aquatic facility managers, camp
counselors, competitive swimmers, teachers and adult youth leaders.
You must be at least 16 years of age on or before the final session
of this course.

Babysitter’s Training - $37.00
This course provides individuals, ages 11 to 15, with the
information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible
care for children in the absence of parents or adult guardians.
This training will help participants develop skills in leadership
and professionalism; basic care; safety and safe play; and first
aid. Participants will receive a Babysitter's Training certificate
upon completion of training. Participants must be 11 years of
age, no exceptions!

Community First Aid and
Safety
Trains individuals to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency
situations, such as respiratory or cardiac problems, sudden
illnesses, or injuries. Includes Adult, Infant, & Child CPR and
First Aid. Upon successful completion of training,
participants are issued a one-year certification in Adult, Infant, &
Child CPR and a three-year certification in First Aid

Community CPR
The purpose of this course is to train individuals to overcome any
reluctance to act in emergency situations and to recognize and care
for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults,
children, and infants. One year certification in Adult, Infant, &
Child CPR is issued upon successful completion of training.

Standard First Aid w/AED
This
course gives individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to
recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses,
including how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) for
victims of sudden cardiac arrest, until advanced medical personnel
arrive and take over. Course includes Adult CPR/AED
and First Aid. Participants will receive a one year
certification in Adult CPR/AED and a three certification in First
Aid upon successful completion of training.

Adult CPR w/AED Review
The purpose of this review is to provide individuals the opportunity
to renew their certificate by proving their competency in specific
skills. Bring a copy of your current card with you to class.
Students must bring applicable course book. Please tell us when you
register that you are interested in review only. Must have a current Adult CPR/AED
certificate.

Infant/Child CPR
This course teaches how to recognize
and care for breathing emergencies and cardiac arrest in infants and
children and reduce the risk of injury to infants and children.
Participants will receive a one year certification in Infant/Child
CPR upon successful completion of training.

Participants must provide proof of current CPR certification to be
eligible to attend this class. Upon successful completion students
will be certified in Infant and Child CPR. Must have

CPR/AED for the Professional
Rescuer
This course is designed for individuals delivering health care
and/or assuring public safety. The CPR/PR course teaches
adult, child, infant one and two-rescuer CPR. It will also
include proper use of pocket masks and bag-valve-masks.
Participants are issued a one-year certification in CPR/AED
for the Professional Rescuer upon successful completion of training.
