Welcome | How to get involved WelcomeEvery day, the American Red Cross helps people in emergencies…whether it's a half-million disaster victims or one sick child who needs blood. Approximately 1.2 million people volunteer for the American Red Cross; volunteers make up 97% of all American Red Cross staff. Since 1917 St. Croix Valley Red Cross volunteers have provided community services, sponsored blood drives and helped to prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. If you are currently one of the thousand-plus volunteers who provide Red Cross services to Eastern Washington County in Minnesota and Polk and St. Croix County in Wisconsin— thank you for helping us keep our promise. If you are a future volunteer, Welcome! The Red Cross could never have too many volunteers —there's always more work to do, new kinds of emergencies arising. Our St. Croix Valley Red Cross volunteers are all ages and come from all walks of life. Everyone has something special to offer — Including you. This is a great time to get involved. Share your knowledge, skills, abilities, and expertise volunteering with the Red Cross.
